CLINTON — Mrs. Alice Kirby Jackson Jones, 88, of Clinton, Ky., passed away on Saturday, October 27, 2012, at 11:05 a.m. at the Clinton-Hickman County I.C.F. Nursing Home.

Mrs. Jones was a member of First Baptist Church of Clinton and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star #539. Mrs. Jones worked in the Hickman County judges office and was appointed by the governor to serve the remaining term of her husband, Judge Willis E. Jackson, at the time of his death.

Mrs. Jones is survived by a daughter, Dolores Stephenson of Clinton; a son-in-law, Russell Mitchell of Clinton; two granddaughters, Tammy Hatch of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Paula Boaz of Clinton; a grandson, Scott Mitchell of Clinton; three great-grandsons, Andy Hatch of Paducah, Justin Boaz and Brett Mitchell of Clinton; and two great-granddaughters, Madison Mitchell and Tristin Boaz of Clinton.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James Thomas and Annie Clapp Kirby; first husband, Willis E. Jackson; and second husband, Bobby Jones; one daughter, Faye Mitchell; four brothers; and three sisters.

Services will be held on Monday, October 29, 2012, at 1 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Chapel in Clinton with visitation beginning at 11 a.m. Rev. Rocky James and Rev. Troy Deweese will officiate with burial in the Clark Cemetery. Donations can be given to the Clinton-Hickman Co. I.C.F. Family Support Group, 366 South Washington, Clinton, KY 42031
