The Rotary Club of Paducah held its speech contest Feb. 27 at the McCracken County Public Library. The theme was "Peace Through Service." The contest was open to all Paducah and McCracken County public schools. Students researched and offered their own insights and perspectives on this year's topic. Speeches were memorized with no notes used during the contest. Winners were, from left, Victoria Potter (first place), Meg Hancock (second place), Cade Perfili (third place) and Will Hancock (fourth place).
