Robert E. 'Bob' Sparks

Staff report

MURRAY -- Robert E. "Bob" Sparks, 92, of Murray died at 1:57 p.m. Friday, May 12, 2017, at Western Kentucky Veterans Center in Hanson.

He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Murray and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

He is survived by his daughter, Judith Ann Ferguson of Nortonville; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Juanita Sparks; son, Gordon Sparks; and two brothers.

His parents were Clarence and Elsie Presley Sparks.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 17, 2017, at Murray City Cemetery with Pastor K.C. Klarner officiating.

There will be no visitation.

Blalock-Coleman & York Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be left at yorkfuneralhome.com.
