Kay Hassing Nanni, 68, of Paducah died Thursday, March 16, 2017, at the Ray & Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center.
Kay was born on February 3, 1949, in St. Louis, Missouri, to Joseph Warren Hassing and Mary Jennings Hassing. She was a 1970 graduate of St. Luke's School of Nursing and 1972 graduate of St. Louis University, receiving her BSN degree. Kay served as territory manager for Warren-Teed Pharmaceuticals from 1976-77. She eventually returned to college, receiving an accounting degree from Murray State University in 1981. She owned and operated Kay Nanni, CPA in Paducah for many years and was a trusted advisor to many clients. She held memberships in both the Kentucky and American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the National Honor Society. Kay was a graduate of the 1986 class of Leadership Paducah and a past member of Business and Professional Women's Club. She had attended Broadway United Methodist Church in the '80s and early '90s.
She is survived by her husband of nearly forty years, Russ Nanni; siblings, Sue Basso of Tucson, Arizona, and Martin Hassing of Webster Groves, Missouri; stepdaughter, Nicole Boulger of Craig, Colorado; stepgranddaughter, Trinity Boulger of Craig, Colorado; and nieces, Kim Green of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Sarah Hassing of Webster Groves, Missouri.
Preceding her in death were her parents.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2017, at 2:30 p.m. at Milner & Orr Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Paducah with the Rev. Jamie Coomer officiating. Memorial visitation will begin at 1 p.m. prior to the memorial service at the funeral home.
