KUTTAWA -- Jo Ann Woodall, age 69, of Kuttawa died at 7:24 a.m. Thursday, March 16, 2017, at Continue Care Hospital in Baptist Health Paducah of Paducah, Kentucky.

She was of the Baptist faith and was preceded in death by one brother, Henry Wayne Downing, and four sisters, Christine Fulks, Dorothy Oliver, Maybelle Yates and Hazel Millsapps.

Her parents were John Homer and Maude Snyder Downing.

Survivors include one son, Steve (Crystal) Balentine of Paducah, Kentucky; one daughter, Kasandra (Terry Charles) Balentine of Pell City, Alabama; one brother, Johnie (Wanda) Downing of Kuttawa; one sister, Betty (Junior) Shaffer of Robbinsville, North Carolina; one aunt, J. Belle Riggle of Kuttawa; six grandchildren Jessica Balentine, Kendell Balentine, Kimberly Balentine, Kameron Charles, Olivia Townsend and Ava Townsend. Also surviving are four great-grandchildren, Evelyn Balentine, Lillyan Nevitt, Kayelyn Murray and Faith Murray.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 18, 2017, at Dunn's Funeral Home in Eddyville and burial will follow in Macedonia Cemetery in Lyon County. Friends may call after 11 a.m. Saturday, March 18, 2017, at Dunn's.
