Mary Lou Beard

Mary Lou Beard, 91, of the Beelerton community died Saturday morning, March 11, 2017, at Clinton-Hickman County ICF nursing facility in Clinton, Kentucky.

She had been a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church for over 70 years and had worked for 11 years as a seamstress for the former Henry I. Siegel Clothing Company in South Fulton,Tennessee. After over 12 years of service as a nurse's aide she retired from West Kentucky Manor Nursing Home in Clinton, Kentucky. She had lived in this area all of her life.

Mrs. Beard is survived by a daughter, Pat Collins of Fulton, Kentucky; five grandchildren and their spouses, Tony Lee Blalock (Jodie) of Fulton, Kentucky, Timmy Blalock (Jennifer) of Water Valley, Kentucky, Tracy Bennett (Jeff) of South Fulton, Tennessee, Teresa Decker of Martin, Tennessee and Andy Collins (Susanne) of Paris, Tennessee; 10 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and a brother, JC Jackson of Water Valley, Kentucky.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold "Buck" Beard; her parents Jackie Jackson and Onice Conner Jackson Choate; a son, Joe Lee Beard; two brothers; and three sisters.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 14, 2017, at Hornbeak Funeral Chapel and interment will be in Pleasant View Memorial Gardens in Fulton.

Visitation will be at the funeral home from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Monday, March 13, 2017, and after 8 a.m. Tuesday until the funeral hour.
