Milfred 'Fred' Jones

Milfred "Fred" Jones, age 63, of Paducah, Kentucky, passed away at 5:15 p.m. on Friday, March 10, 2017, at Continued Care Hospital at Baptist Health Paducah.

Fred was retired from Allied Chemical/Honeywell. After he retired he started Millstone Counseling Center, where he worked as a marriage and family therapist. He was of the Baptist Faith, was a veteran of the United States Army, and had served as the Commander of the Army Reserve Unit in Paducah, Kentucky.

Fred is survived by his wife, Diane Dunn Litchford Jones of Paducah, Kentucky; daughter, Amy Chesnut and husband Phillip of Paducah, Kentucky, and her mother, Nancy Karber Jones of Paducah, Kentucky; two grandchildren, Carson and Miles Chesnut; three sisters, Bobette Steele and husband Gary Adkins of Metropolis, Illinois, Kathleen Boyd and husband Mike of Rosebud, Illinois, and Joy Dry and husband Billy of Joppa, Illinois; several nieces and nephews; and his faithful companion, his dog, Buster.

Fred was preceded in death by his parents, Milfred Lee Jones Sr. and Frances Smith Jones; stepfather, Charles Patrick Jones Jr.; sister, Laura Fuchs; and brother, Paul Wayne Jones.

Visitation will be held on Monday, March 13, 2017, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Aikins-Farmer Funeral Home in Metropolis.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 14, 2017, at the Aikins-Farmer Funeral Home. Pastor Sue Engle will officiate.

Memorials may be made to Purchase Area Sexual Assault and Child Advocacy Center, 1605 North Friendship Road, Paducah, KY 42001 or McCracken County Humane Society, 4000 Coleman Road, Paducah, KY 42001.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jason Steele, Anthony Jones, Josh Williams, Ronnie Brown, Cary "Butch" Creson, John Jacobs, Chris Boyd, Brandon Jackson and Steve Middleton.
