BENTON -- Audie Ludd "Jack" Borders, 90, of Benton died Thursday, March 9, 2017, at Marshall County Hospital.
He was a retired mechanic and member of the Elks Club. He was a Army veteran, serving in World War II, and was a member of the VFW Post 1084.
Mr. Borders is survived by his wife, Mary Brown Borders of Benton; three sons, Gary Allen Borders of Benton, Rickie Borders of Hardin and David Clinton Borders of Benton; three daughters, Brenda DeBow of Benton, Shelia Borders of Cleveland, Ohio and Pam Borders of California; two stepsons, Billy Lee Massengill Jr. of Phoenix, Georgia, and Jerry Lee Massengill of Mobile, Alabama; a sister, Virginia Lois Whittaker of Gilbertsville; 25 grandchildren; seven great-grand children, and one great great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by five brothers, four sisters, one grandchild, three great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. His parents were R.B. Borders and Mary Burns Borders.
Services will be at noon Monday, March 13, 2017, at Collier Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Bill Amberg officiating. Interment with military rites will follow in the Scotts Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to noon Monday at Collier Funeral Home.
