Larry Joe Johnston

BARLOW -- Larry Joe Johnston died at 6:35 p.m. Thursday, March 2, 2017, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital in Owensboro, Kentucky.

Larry was a member of Barlow United Methodist Church and a member of Operating Engineers #181. He was a member of Axe Lake Hunting and Fishing Club. He was an avid University of Kentucky Basketball fan and St. Louis Cardinals fan.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Pat Johnston of Barlow, Kentucky; one son, Greg Johnston of Barlow, Kentucky; five half brothers, David Johnston (Gina) of Paducah, Kentucky, Danny Johnston (Marcia) of Paducah, Kentucky, Billy Johnston (Becky) of Paducah, Kentucky, Bobby Johnston of Paducah, Kentucky and Charley Joe Johnston Lori of Paducah, Kentucky; three half-sisters, Glenda Sue Hodges (Bill) of Kevil, Kentucky, Claudette Giles of Barlow, Kentucky and Nancy King (Alfred) of Paducah, Kentucky; one step-sister, Patty Lee Rich of Barlow, Kentucky; and two grandchildren, Savanna Joe Hinchcliffe of Owensboro, Kentucky and Eric Gregory Johnston of Barlow, Kentucky.

Larry was preceded in death by one daughter, Phyllis Ann Hinchcliffe; one half-brother, Frankie Johnston; an infant sister; and his parents, Burle and Lillie Johnston.

Visitation will be Friday evening after 5 p.m. at Morrow Funeral Chapel in La Center, Kentucky.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 11, 2017 at Morrow Funeral Chapel in La Center, Kentucky, with the Rev. Matthew Thomas officiating. Interment will follow at Barlow Cemetery.
