Melton 'Sonny' Reed

Staff report

HICKORY -- Melton "Sonny" Reed, 74, of Hickory died at 8:18 a.m. Monday, March 6, 2017, at Lourdes hospital in Paducah.

He was a foreman at the former Ingersoll-Rand Company in Mayfield.

He is survived by two sons, Robert Reed of Boaz and Richard Reed of Paducah; one daughter, Kim Reed Hobbs of Paducah; one sister, Ruth Tarver of Mayfield; one brother, Michael Reed of Mayfield; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Norma Ivy. His parents were Walter and Claudine Washburn Reed.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 8, 2017, at Maplewood Cemetery. Friends are asked to meet at the cemetery.

Brown Funeral Home of Mayfield is in charge of arrangements.
