Auction to benefit Humane Societty

As part of the Do Good Quilt Auction, Paducah quilter Rose Hughes is donating a 30-by-30-inch piece of her appliqued work to benefit the Project Hope Humane Society in Metropolis, Illinois.

The online auction began Thursday, with bids closing at 2 p.m. Sunday. Quilts may be viewed and bidded on at ebay.com/usr/makershomecharity. All proceeds will benefit charities chosen by each quilter. Donors will have their quilts delivered by UPS or FedEx.

Nine industry professionals will also donate a quilt for auction: Natalie Barnes, Violet Craft, Amy Ellis, Scott Hansen, Julie Herman, Rose Hughes, Robin Long, Jenny Pedigo and Angela Walters.
