Marshall wreck injures driver

Staff report

A Gilbertsville man was flown by Air Evac to Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee, after a two vehicle collision Thursday, according to Kentucky State Police.

Garrett Dossett, 28, was driving a 2009 Pontiac Vibe on U.S. 62 as he approached the ramp intersection at I-24. Patrick Lowe, 56, of Berea was driving a 2016 Freightliner tractor-trailer.

Lowe attempted to make a left turn onto the ramp for I-24. The investigation showed that Lowe failed to yield right of way to Dossett and collided with the other vehicle.

Dossett was flown to Nashville with life-threatening injuries.
