Two men injured in Calloway wreck

Staff report

A Mayfield man and a Murray man were injured in a two vehicle collision Thursday, according to the Calloway County Sheriff's Office.

Richard C. Simmons, 56, of Murray was driving a pickup truck west on Ky. 80 and turned left onto Airport Road. Simmons turned into the path of a sport-utility vehicle driven by Mitchell R. Irvan, 32, of Mayfield. Simmons' vehicle was struck on the passenger side door and came to rest in the median. Both drivers were taken to Murray-Calloway County Hospital.
