A Cadiz man was arrested Wednesday in Lyon County while the Kentucky State Police were assisting Tennessee law enforcement with a murder investigation.
State police said troopers responded to Rocky Ridge RV Park to assist Clarksville, Tennessee, law enforcement in locating Quintin D. Bird, 21, in connection with a Tennessee homicide investigation.
Kentucky State Police Trooper Jody Cash said troopers searched for Bird through Tuesday night and into Wednesday afternoon before setting their sights on the RV park.
While at the park, troopers said, they found Bird just before 3 p.m. inside a camper.
Cash said Bird was taken to an area hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries Bird sustained prior to his arrest.
Once medically cleared, police said, Bird will be charged with second-degree burglary and tampering with physical evidence.
Cash said the burglary charge stems from Bird breaking into a camper. The tampering charge, he said, stems from law enforcement's belief that Bird brought evidence from Clarksville into Kentucky and disposed of it.
