A St. Louis man was arrested Monday night and faces drug-related charges following a traffic stop in McCracken County.
The McCracken County Sheriff's Office reported that deputies stopped Daniel Ossola, 29, around 10:34 p.m. Deputies said they saw him throw an object that contained crushed Oxycodone and Fentanyl pills out the window during the stop.
Deputies said they also found marijuana on the ground outside the driver's side door. A search of the vehicle allegedly uncovered four Xanax pills, 22 Fentanyl pills and $1,910 in cash, which is believed to be the proceeds from illegal drug sales, the sheriff's office reported.
Ossola was charged with driving on a DUI-suspended license, second offense; failure to maintain required insurance; possession of marijuana; possession of drug paraphernalia; first-degree possession of a controlled substance (drug unspecified); prescription controlled substance not in proper container; tampering with physical evidence; communication device violation; careless driving and trafficking in a controlled substance, the sheriff's office said.
