RYAN HERMENSrhermens@paducahsun.com

Will Sheffer (from left), 12, Jeremiah Boone, 12, and Keaton Housman, 12, all members of Boy Scout Troop 1 in Paducah, clear weeds Saturday in front of the Paducah Wall to Wall floodwall mural during the Spring Spruce Up in downtown Paducah. The event was organized by Paducah Main Street and the city's Parks Services Department. Melinda Winchester, Paducah Main Street director, said about 45 volunteers turned out to help beautify downtown. "That really shows the community pride in this city," she said.
