Ex-water employee accused of stealing $9,700

Staff report

State police arrested a former water district employee Thursday after she allegedly stole funds from the Crittenden-Livingston County Water District.

State police said Kimberly Glitz-Black, 53, of Marion, allegedly stole $9,700 by manipulating customer payments. Police said all the stolen funds have been accounted for and most of the money has been recovered. Customer accounts were not affected, they said.

Glitz-Black was charged with theft by unlawful taking, over $500 but under $10,000, and jailed in Paducah.

Police said the investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information can contact the Kentucky State Police Post 1 at 270-856-3721.
