3-vehicle wreck injures 1 in Calloway

Staff report

A three-vehicle wreck in Calloway County injured one person Wednesday when a vehicle failed to stop at an intersection, causing a chain of rear-end collisions.

According to the Calloway County Sheriff's Office, Jeremy S. Thompson, 30, of Hardin, was driving south on U.S. 641 when he failed to stop at the intersection at Ky. 80.

Deputies said Thompson's vehicle rear-ended a vehicle driven by Emma G. Henry, 18, of Benton. Henry's vehicle then rear-ended a vehicle driven by Vanessa D. Futrell, 40, of Benton.

Deputies said Thompson was taken to Murray-Calloway County Hospital with non-life- threatening injuries. Henry and Futrell were not injured.
