Woman suspected in Harris Road shooting

Staff report

Paducah police are looking for a woman suspected of firing shots at another driver Friday afternoon in the area of Harris and Olivet Church roads.

Authorities said a young Paducah man told officers he was driving on Harris toward Olivet Church when a woman in a red four-door sedan tried to pull onto Harris from Huck's Convenience Store. As he honked his horn and passed, the man told police, he saw her yelling and making obscene gestures at him.

As he turned left onto Olivet Church, the man told police he heard two gunshots that he believes came from her.

The two rounds broke his rear window and side mirror on his driver's side. After stopping in a parking lot behind Kohl's, the man said one bullet had gone through his seat and landed on the dashboard. The other was lodged inside his driver's door.

Police said a Huck's surveillance video showed the suspect is a white female with light-colored hair and wearing a turquoise shirt. She was driving a red -- possibly 2011-2013 -- Chevrolet Impala LTZ with chrome accents on the doors.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Paducah Police Department at 270-444-8550, or Crime Stoppers at 270-443-TELL. They can also text "KyTips" followed by information to "CRIMES" (274637), or visit the Crime Stoppers website at westkycrimestoppers.info.

Information leading to an arrest or indictment may result in a reward up to $1,000.
