Puryear man injured in 2-vehicle collision

A Puryear, Tennessee, man was injured Thursday morning in a two-vehicle collision on Sycamore Street in Murray, according to Murray police.

Tim Cunningham, 45, of Murray was driving a Dodge truck south on 12th Street and attempted to make a left turn onto Sycamore Street. Haydel Alden, 61, of Puryear was traveling north on 12th in a 2006 Dodge van when Cunningham turned in front of him. Alden struck the passenger side of the truck, police said.

Alden was transported to Murray-Calloway County Hospital with possible injuries, police said. The intersection was closed about 45 minutes.
