Thompson sworn in as Livingston deputy coroner

Staff report

James E. "Jim" Thompson was sworn in recently as Livingston County deputy coroner by Livingston County Deputy Court Clerk Sonya Williams. Thompson has more than 42 years in law enforcement and training and works for Baptist Health Occupational Medicine as a training coordinator teaching Emergency Medical Technician and Emergency Medical Responder classes and is a CPR/AED and first aid Instructor. He has been a volunteer firefighter since age 18 and is a Level II state certified fire instructor and serves as a training officer for the Ledbetter Fire Department.
