Man arrested in connection with alleged 4-wheeler theft

Staff report

A Kevil man wanted in connection with a theft report was arrested after a tip led investigators to the man's location.

McCracken Detective Greg Moyers said Tyler Hayes, 30, was taken into custody Saturday at a residence in Kevil.

Hayes was wanted in connection with the theft of a red Honda four-wheeler that was reported stolen in February.

Detectives said prior to his arrest, witnesses reported seeing Hayes riding a four-wheeler fitting the stolen vehicle's description in the area of Bethel Church Road.

Hayes was charged with receiving stolen property over $500 and jailed.
