MURRAY — The past five weeks at Murray State University have been invaluable and encouraging to western Kentucky’s Governor’s Scholars.
“I have learned to put myself out there, not hold back and to learn more about other people,” said Amanda Gill, 17, an incoming senior at Ballard Memorial High School and one of 10 teens from far-western Kentucky attending the program at Murray. Others attended similar programs at Bellarmine University in Louisville and Centre College in Danville.
