Midtown Par 3 course has nine holes, free admission, waning use
John Romang thought he found a hidden treasure.
After searching online for local golf courses he came across Midtown Golf Course, a free Par 3 behind the Oscar Cross Boys and Girls Club.
Somehow in five years of living downtown and working in Massac County, Ill., as a teacher, the 29-year-old hadn’t heard of the course. Romang needed Google Maps to find the nine holes off Walter Jetton Boulevard.
