Anniversary

First Missionary Baptist Church, 7th and Vienna streets, Metropolis, Illinois, is celebrating its 151st anniversary on Sunday. Dr. Orlando McReynolds will speak at 11 a.m. The Rev. Thomas Taylor will speak at 3 p.m. For more information call 618-524-2855.

Victory Baptist Church, Ky. 121, Wickliffe, is having a Homecoming celebrating its 39 year anniversary on Sunday. Sunday School begins at 9:30 a.m. and worship begins at 10:30 a.m. Dinner will follow. The public is invited. For Heaven's Sake will sing at 1:30 p.m.

Special Services

Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church (Pastor's Aide Committee), 1213 Walter Jetton Blvd., will host the Clarksville Soulstirrers at 5 p.m. Sunday. Host pastor is the Rev. Michael J. Wade.

Miles Chapel C.M.E. Church, 762 Levins Ave., Paducah will celebrate its annual Men's Day Program at 3 p.m. Sunday. Guest speaker will be Minister Larry Nance from the Oaklone Christian Church, Paducah. Dinner will be served after morning service at 1:30 p.m.

Greater Lincoln Heights Baptist Church, 1324 Bloomfield Ave., Paducah, will be celebrating a Momentous Occasion for Pastor Alfred Anderson at 3 p.m. Sunday.

This marks the 29th year that he has been the shepherd of Greater Lincoln Heights Baptist and 40 years of pastoral service for the community. Guest will be Pastor Raynarldo Henderson and Washington Street Baptist Church. For more information, contact Anderson at 270-442-0070.

The West Ky. Christian Alliance will sponsor a National Day of Prayer service at Dolly McNutt Plaza at noon Thursday. All are invited to gather to "pray for our country in these troubled times." There also will be music. For information, call 270-994-3230.

The West KY Gospel Music Association will hold its spring convention at 7 p.m. Friday, May 5 and Saturday, May 6. The singing will be held at Trinity Baptist Church, 604 S. 21st St., Paducah. There will be approximately 10 local groups each night. A love offering will be taken. For more information call President Marilyn Harrell at 270-665-5094.

Fellowship

Trinity United Methodist Church, 6125 Blandville Road, will host an informational party for Lakeshore camp from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday. There will be activities for kids, and information for parents about summer camp opportunities at Lakeshore, which is located near Camden, Tennessee, on Kentucky Lake.

Also, Lakeshore staff will be offering a day camp at Trinity from June 19-23, so families can sign up for either on Sunday.

New Hope Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 7680 New Hope Church Road, Paducah is hosting its annual Spring Fish Fry from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, May 6. Cost is $10 for an adult all-you-can-eat plate that includes fish, fries, hush puppies, cole slaw, beans and homemade dessert. Children's plates and to-go plates also available.
