Two downtown Paducah restaurant owners are converting the former Toucan’s Restaurant & Bar at 119 Market House Square into JP’s Bar & Grill, a sports bar and grill with an outdoor beer garden.

Jorge Martinez and Paul Gourieux recently purchased the vacant Toucan’s property. They tentatively plan to open JP’s during the first week in October, Martinez said.

“We hope to have an outdoor bar with draft beer, cheeseburgers, all casual dining,” he said.
