Staff report

Dr. Rockne Brubaker has joined Lourdes and Mercy Medical Associates in the newly formed practice Mercy Ear, Nose and Throat. Brubaker has 29 years of clinical experience in otolaryngology. He began his career in private practice, then transitioned to academic medicine as a teaching professor at Loyola University. He completed his otolaryngology residency at Washington University and a general surgery internship at Jewish Hospital, both in St. Louis. He received his medical doctorate from Rush University Medical School in Chicago, and undergraduate from DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana.

Precision Machine, Inc., Paducah, announces the following personnel changes:

â ¢ Alan Sexton has been promoted to general manager. He joined PMI in 1986 and has served previously as a machinist and account specialist. A Marshall County native, he received his journeyman machine certification from the Kentucky Labor Cabinet in 1989 after training at the Marshall County Vocational School. He was a member of the Leadership Paducah Class #24.

â ¢ Clayton Parker has assumed the role of machine shop foreman. Be joined PMI in 1984 as a machinist and has recently been in the CNC department. A Marshall County native, he received his journeyman machine certification from the Kentucky Labor Cabinet in 1989 after training at the Marshall County Vocational School.

â ¢ Kevin Harper has been promoted to operations manager. He will oversee off-site operations as well as the mechanic and fabrication shops. Harper began his career in 1982 and became a millwright supervisor in 1993. He has also served as an account specialist serving customers in Arkansas, Alabama and Kentucky. He is a Lone Oak native.

â ¢ Ray Fennel has assumed the role of estimator-purchasing agent. The Calloway County native began his career in 1993 at PMI as a machinist. He has also served and millwright supervisor and account specialist. He is a graduate of the West Kentucky Technical Center.

Alison Sasseen, APRN, has joined Murray-Calloway County Hospital's Oncology and Hematology of Murray. Sasseen comes to MCCH after serving at various health care facilities in the region, including Baptist Health Medical Group Hematology Oncology as a nurse practitioner, Jackson Purchase Medical Center as a nurse practitioner in the emergency department, and Marshall County Hospital as a registered nurse in the emergency room and intensive care unit. She is a graduate of Murray State University with a master of science degree in nursing. She also holds a bachelor of science in nursing from MSU and has 13 years of experience in hematology and oncology.

Dr. John Broadbent has joined the medical staff of Murray-Calloway County Hospital as a cardiologist. Broadbent completed his undergraduate degree in chemical engineering and chemistry at the University of Kentucky in 1986, and earned his M.D. from the University of Louisville College of Medicine in 1990. He completed his residency in internal medicine at Henry Ford Hospital in 1993 followed by a cardiology fellowship and an interventional cardiology fellowship. Broadbent was a part of the credentials committee at Western Baptist Hospital, the pharmacy and therapeutics committee and the house staff council at Henry Ford Hospital. He is in the American College of Cardiology, American Medical Association and the American Institute of Chemical Engineers.

Steven Survant, a respiratory care tech, cardiopulmonary, at Murray-Calloway County Hospital, has been named one of six students in Kentucky to serve on the Kentucky Society of Respiratory Care. The KSRC, a chartered affiliate of the American Association of Respiratory Care, is a nonprofit organization serving the respiratory profession. Survant is currently finishing his associate's degree and registered respiratory therapist certification at Madisonville Community College.

Brad Clark, MBA, has joined Jennings & Associates Financial Advisors as a relationship manager. His experience includes public and corporate accounting, commercial banking, trust services and financial planning. He holds a bachelor of science in accounting and an MBA from Murray State University, and recently passed the Certified Financial Planner exam, working toward that certification.
