Two men charged after 2016 burglaries

By Staff report

The Kentucky State Police charged two Princeton men Thursday related to burglaries that occurred last year.

According to police, a burglary occurred between March 3 and March 6 at 237 Mobile Drive in Eddyville. Police said a large fireproof safe containing a large sum of cash and an air rifle were stolen.

With no real leads, police said, they asked for help from the public, which resulted in useful information.

Police identified Travis D. Hale, 25, and Jason C. Wynn, 32, as suspects. Police said they were also able to link Wynn to three other burglaries in the same area.

This month, on May 1, detectives presented their case to a Lyon County grand jury, which indicted both men.

Hale was charged with second-degree burglary and theft by unlawful taking over $10,000.

Wynn was charged with four counts of second-degree burglary, theft by unlawful taking over $10,000 and first-degree persistent felony offender.

Both men were already in custody. Hale is in the Hopkins County Jail in Madisonville, and Wynn is incarcerated at Roederer Correctional Facility in Oldham County.
