Back in action
Randy Beeler, a past commander of the Sons of Confederate Veterans Lloyd Tilghman Camp 1495, speaks to group of Sons of Confederate
members and others Saturday while presenting a newly repaired Confederate statue at Arant Confederate Park off I-24, Exit
      16. Unknown vandals knocked over and damaged the $1,800 monument last month, and Saturday was the official unveiling of the
repairs, which Beeler said took about two weeks. The statue will be placed in its original spot and rededicated in the coming
weeks. Beeler said a $3,000 reward is still active for information leading to the person or people who committed the vandalism.
